Pray, hope and don’t worry

My surgery is tomorrow.

Reninder, check in is at 7:45am and the surgery is set for 9:45am.

I received the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick and a blessing after Mass this morning.

I have been praying the Surrender Novena these past nine days leading up to Padre Pio’s feast day and the day of my procedure.

Padre Pio prayed this novena often.

“Jesus, I surrender myself to you. Take care of everything.”

Although I am still very much wanting this surgery to be behind me, these words have calmed my anxious heart.

My heart takes courage knowing I have prayers surrounding me.

I can’t even pretend to be surprised that Padre Pio would show up for me.

I told one of my close friends about my upcoming surgery on Padre Pio’s feast day and he sent a reply of a picture outside his room.

I do not doubt Padre Pio will be praying for me! He always does!
