About Gabbie.

"My vocation is love." - St. Therese of Liseux

Gabrielle Ann Rehder was born on August 18th, 1995.

She went home to God on January 12th, 2025.

Her vocation, like her friend St. Therese, truly was love.

She loved deeply and was a friend to so many.

The best way to get to know Gabbie is to read her blogs and follow her journey as she experienced it, but here we want to share a bit about her from our perspective.

We love you, Gabbie!

Gabbie's Heart

Gabbie's heart was extra large for medical reasons, but really, we know her heart was so big because of all the goodness it held.

GENEROUS: She was always wanting to give - whether a tangible gift or the gift of her presence.

GRATEFUL: No one was faster at sending a thank you note for a gift received or a kindness spoken than Gabbie. She kept a gratitude journal, making sure to list at least one thing at the end of each day she could be grateful for.

EMPATHETIC: Gabbie was the first to enter into the sufferings of another and to carry the cross with them by her love, her presence, and her prayers.

FAITHFUL: Gabbie's faith was the fuel for her heart and the anchor of her life.
