I thought I would try and dabble in poetry again.

I wrote the first two stanzas of this poem last night.

The rest of it I wrote this afternoon.

This poem is called,

Draw My Heart Near:

Swayed by the ocean

But comfortable on the sand

I stood up in slow motion

With the help from God’s hand

Right foot forward

Sunshine warms my back

Jesus is my Lord

My burdens He will pack

Water touches my toes

I see the sun setting

His voice is close

No more fretting

Stay with me here

Stay with me always

Draw my heart near

Let it give praise

Lord, of my life, I stand in your glory and give you thanks.
