“Lift up your heart to the Lord.”
These words from the Liturgy of the Eucharist spoke to me this morning at Mass.
I was nervous about today’s heart appointments.
I hold my breath at every heart appointment I have.
However, today my heart was lifted!
But it is not me who is doing the heavy lifting…
It is the Lord!
He lifts my heart and affirms my heart to trust in His perfect plan.
It was a beautiful day to drive to Spokane.
The weather was so much better today than it was on Monday!
We were greeted by this buck when we arrived at Sacred Heart Cardiology!

This might sound silly but when I am looking for signs from above for everything to go and be ok, I ask the Lord to send a deer for me to see.
I didn’t think to ask or even look this time for deer in Spokane! The Lord just gave me what I needed!
“In biblical symbology, deer represent piety, devotion, and safety in God's care. They are a symbol of thirst and longing for the Lord. They signify the ability to leap over obstacles. As graceful, timid, beautiful creatures, deer can indicate naivete or innocence depending on context.”
Thank you, Lord, for lifting my heart and for good appointments!
Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God!
A Night Prayer
Jesus Christ, my God, I adore You and thank You for all the graces You have given me this day. I offer You my sleep and all the moments of this night. I place myself and all my loved ones, wherever they may be, in Your sacred side and under the mantle of Our Blessed Mother. Let Your holy angels stand watch and keep us in peace. Amen.
