Here I am

Here I am Lord. Is it I Lord?

I have heard you calling in the night.

I will go Lord, if you lead me.

I will hold your people in my heart.

I have been repeating these beautiful words over and over the past few days.

"Here I am, Lord."

It's like being a little child and playing hide and seek.

We've all played with a two year old who has revealed herself from her hiding place.

She shouts with great joy and excitement, "Here I am!"

And so too, Jesus is seeking me.

I am willing to give up my hiding place and to make my soul's presence known.

To become like a little child and to rejoice with excitement,

"Here I am, Lord."

And If it is I LORD, I will go if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart.
