Defying Gravity

I saw the movie Wicked and I must say it was “wicked” awesome!

I really loved the music!

I enjoyed the movie and it made me feel like I was rewatching it on broadway in NYC.

For those who do not know the story of Wicked, it is a musical based off of the Wizard of Oz and obviously about the Wicked Witch of the West.

The story tells the “truth” about how and why the Wicked Witch came to be.

However, the “truth” creates conflict.

Conflict that makes one ask, “Are you a good witch or a bad witch?”

This is where I scratch my head.

And that leads me to this next question.

“What is truth?”

Pontius Pilate asked Jesus this question before be handed Him over to be crucified.

Not a question or scripture I expected to think about during Advent.

But it is a question to think about.

The answer is this:

We are loved by a God who gave us his only Son!

So that we would not perish but have eternal life.

This is the Truth.

Jesus is the Truth.

No second guesses.

His love is limitless.

His love defies gravity.
